Elizabeth and Jim (Major's nephew) came to show us some more of Houston today. I thought we were going to a Greek place for lunch. Turned out we went to a hugh Greek Festival. It was quite different. We watched children dance. Started from 2nd graders through high school. It was fun to watch. Made me want to go rent "My Big Fat Greek Wedding!" That was a cute movie, if I remember right. We walked through their gift shop an saw a lot of interesting things. I could have bought a bracelet with my name in Greek but it was 6 bucks a cube and I decided I didn't need to spend $30 on something I couldn't even read!! ha ha We had a Greek Gyro (thanks Carleen for the suggestion) for lunch and it was actually pretty good. I'm not much for trying new foreign foods and probably wouldn't go out looking for one but it was ok. Afterward we went to the Kemah Board Walk. It's right on the ocean and it was totally amazing!!! Never have I seen so many pelicans and seagulls in one spot. It must have been feeding time (who knows maybe this goes on all the time) because these birds would be flying and suddenly take a nose dive into the water and then you would see them come up and swallow the fish they just caught! Major took pictures and as soon as he feels like it I will have him put a picture up. You will be amazed! (or maybe it's just me) It started to rain or we would have stayed longer. We will go back on a sunny day for sure!! We cannot get conference to come up on our computers. Don't have any idea why. We have watched things before on his so we are confused. So we are sad about that but we'll live I guess. Hopefully Major can figure it out by tomorrow. He overdid it today and is feeling pretty crappy tonight so we'll see what happens. We usually don't stay out as long as we did today, but it sure was an interesting day. Hopefully he won't have to pay for it too badly. Every once in awhile I think of something else that was in my purse and I get mad all over again. Major says it's just "stuff" and he's right, it could have been so much worse so I'll try to do better. love you all
