Not sure I should write today. I'll try to be positive, but man it's soooo hard. I am beyond mad, upset and just plain tired. Didn't sleep more than an hour last night, up at 5:30. Major went out to see if we still had a car. We do. However, after taping plastic over what was left of the broken window, just in case it rained, we found a car full of water and leaves. Yep it rained and the wind blew. So Major made a few calls after 7:30, trying to find someone who could fix the window and then went to his treatment alone so I could stay and continue the unending calls to insurance, car dealers, Lonne at the bank, etc etc etc. Well, I won't bore you with the details but we did end up taking our car to a dealership who will fix the window, get us a new key and clean out all the water and glass. We needed to rent a car but didn't have a credit card to do it with. (nope we didn't have insurance that covers a rental, thought we did...We do now!!) They have Enterprise Rental along with the dealership so they were kind enough to let us rent one without a card, since they are fixing the car. Hopefully the car will be fixed by Monday or Tuesday. I think the glass caused a little damage to the leather interior and they say they can fix that too. (It's a new car!!!!) or was. Thanks to Lonne, we now have a new bank account # and new debit cards coming soon. She was so sweet to take a good part of her morning to help us figure this all out. Holly was able to wire us some money so we are no longer penniless. Then we spent the rest of the day either on the phone or computer trying to put the new account # in so we could continue to pay all our bills online. Checks are coming next week for the new account so we can pay tithing again. It's amazing what we take for granted. Our world has been completely turned upside down and I hope it never happens to us again. Once is enough. Not sure what we are supposed to be learning besides, don't leave your purse in your car but I sure hope we are good learners. Sure is humbling! Oh I can't forget, Major went to his treatment (#19 and we are at the half-way mark!) this morning and when Tai (our sweet little nurse who was responsible for getting us here in the first place) heard about our fiasco last night she handed Major $200 and said "this will help you until you get this all taken care of." When he told me, it made me cry to think that after all the garbage, there are still people like that in the world. (Fortunately Holly was able to wire us some money so we can give it back to her on Monday) Then a knock on the door and there stood a little lady with a beautiful bouquet of the biggest sunflowers I've ever seen! (thanks Craig and Carleen...again) Talk about a ray of sunshine!! It was like they were smiling at us. See? Everything will be fine. This too will pass and tomorrow will be a better day. Love you all
